Under Armour to be dropped from S&P 500 index

The Dow Jones announced that Under Armour would be dropped from the S&P 500 stock index on June 21.

The news comes after the Baltimore-based company’s stock prices went down over the last five months. Under Armour will be moved to the S&P MidCap 400, made up of stocks generally worth between $2 million and 10 billion.

Recent stock prices of Under Armour showed the company is worth a little over $4 billion.

Under Armour in 2016 had a market capitalization of more than $25 million.

The company is set to be removed on June 25.
