Dow Inc., Goldman Sachs share losses lead Dow's nearly 700-point fall

Behind negative returns for shares of Dow Inc. and Goldman Sachs, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is slumping Friday afternoon. Shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -5.63% and Goldman Sachs GS, -5.27% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -2.32% was most recently trading 698 points lower (-2.2%). Dow Inc.’s shares have dropped $3.47 (5.3%) while those of Goldman Sachs are down $14.52 (4.8%), combining for a roughly 119-point drag on the Dow. JPMorgan Chase JPM, -4.59%, Boeing BA, -4.31%, and Salesforce Inc. CRM, -4.06% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.59-point swing.
