Intel, Amgen share losses contribute to Dow's 50-point drop

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading down Monday afternoon with shares of Intel and Amgen seeing the biggest declines for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, -0.39% was most recently trading 58 points lower (-0.2%), as shares of Intel INTC, -2.20% and Amgen AMGN, -1.26% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Intel’s shares have dropped $0.65, or 2.2%, while those of Amgen have fallen $4.32, or 1.6%, combining for a roughly 33-point drag on the Dow. Apple AAPL, -1.54%, Coca-Cola KO, -1.46%, and Dow DOW, -1.58% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.59-point swing.
