NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:11AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Aurobindo Pharma(up 1.59 per cent), Abbott India(up 1.15 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 0.55 per cent), Gland Pharma(up 0.27 per cent) and Divis Laboratories(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Granules India(down 1.31 per cent), Biocon(down 1.3 per cent), Laurus(down 0.96 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(down 0.76 per cent) and Lupin(down 0.55 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.03 per cent at 12016.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 161.9 points at 17664.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 544.03 points at 60128.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 8 were trading in the green, while 42 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., Vodafone Idea, NMDC Steel Ltd. and IRB Infra Dev. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Gayatri Rubbers and Chemicals Ltd., Nintec Systems Ltd., Aaron Industries, Vera Synthetic and Vinny Overseas hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Cyber Media Research & Services Ltd., SVP Global, Asahi Songwon, Zee Learn and Megasoft hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
