Stock market update: FMCG stocks mixed as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading mixed on Monday at 10:04AM

Future Consumer(up 4.55%), Varun Beverages(up 3.31%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 2.04%), Vadilal Industries(up 1.66%), DFM Foods(up 1.31%), Sheetal Cool Products(up 1.28%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 1.07%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.78%), Umang Dairies(up 0.75%) and ADF Foods(up 0.63%) were among the top gainers.

Dangee Dums(down 1.93%), Prataap Snacks(down 1.75%), Parag Milk(down 1.66%), Hindustan Foods(down 1.02%), Emami(down 0.94%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.73%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.56%), Nestle India(down 0.53%), Britannia Industries(down 0.53%) and Heritage Foods(down 0.52%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 50.9 points up at 17995.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 250.92 points at 61253.49 at around 10:04AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 2.18%), HCL Technologies(up 2.01%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.22%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.13%), Infosys(up 1.08%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.78%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.75%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.7%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.61%) and NTPC(up 0.6%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Cipla(down 5.96%), Adani Enterprises(down 5.32%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.15%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.8%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.78%), Nestle India(down 0.53%), Britannia Industries(down 0.53%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.38%), UPL Ltd(down 0.36%) and Tata Steel(down 0.27%) were trading in the red.
